BIRD SURVEYS

  • Breeding Bird Surveys- Using Brown and Shepherd and Common Bird Consensus methods to assess breeding populations in upland and lowland habitats.

  • Scarce and Schedule 1 Breeding Bird Surveys- Targeted monitoring for species of conservation concern.

  • Vantage Point Surveys- to assess flight activity and potential collision risk for wind energy and infrastructure projects, as well as conservation, community and monitoring projects.

  • Winter Bird and Overwintering Assemblage Surveys- Assessing seasonal use of habitats by waterfowl and waders.

  • Targeted Species Surveys- For raptors, waders and other key indicator species.

MAMMAL SURVEYS

  • Otter Surveys- Mapping spraint sites, holts, and resting places to inform riparian and development planning.

  • Mammal Walkover Surveys- Rapid assessment of species presence, habitat use and potential constraints.

  • Camera Trapping- Targeted monitoring for sensitive or nocturnal species, providing robust evidence of presence and activity.\
